Merry Christmas (A Christmas Carol)

Yesterday (20/12/13), 6th of primary students were performing a theatre about a famous novel written by Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol". During this week, they have been practising the performance in the conversation class and the last school day before holidays, they performed in front of 5th of primary students who had read this book in their English class.

Here you have a summary of the story "A Christmas Carol" and some pictures. Enjoy!!

Ebenezer Scrooge was a rich, old man. He had a lot of money but no friends. He was very mean, he hated spending money and he hated Christmas. Scrooge was in his office with Bob Cratchit, who worked for him for very little money.
Mr. Scrooge and said: ‘Excuse me, sir. Tomorrow is Christmas Day, can I stay at home with my children?’
Scrooge was angry and he said I don’t pay you to stay at home! Christmas, everybody talks about Christmas! I hate Christmas!’
After work Scrooge went home. On the door was a face. It was Marley’s face – the man who worked with him and now was dead. The ghost said: ‘Three Spirits will visit you tonight.’ and went out of the window.

At one o' clock.... I am the Spirit of Christmas Past’.
The Spirit showed Scrooge the time when he was a young boy.
At three o’clock the second Spirit came. It was the Spirit of Christmas Present. The Spirit took Scrooge to Bob Cratchit’s house. The family was very poor, they had very little food and one little boy was ill.  Scrooge said: I promise I will think about Christmas next year. Please, take me home now. Spirit, Spirit, where are you?’
He saw a man dressed in black. ‘Are you the Spirit of Christmas to come?’ He showed Scrooge a grave. There were no flowers and no people there. ‘Who is it?’ asked Scrooge. On the grave were the words: ‘EBENEZER SCROOGE’.
In the morning Scrooge woke up in his bed. I am alive, I am alive, I am so happy! He jumped out of bed singing and dancing. What a beautiful day it is. I love Christmas.
 I love everybody!’’ MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Scientist and enginners (6th primary)

During this week, 6th of primary students have been travelling around the world in the conversation class presenting their weird transportations as professional scientists and engineers.  They have sold many copies and they have become famous.

Do you want to buy one of these products?

Here you have some examples! Enjoy them! =)

UNDER WATER TRAIN  by Luis Rabadán 6ºE

It's an invention that I made for the people that like the sea; they can travel breathing into the water; it is made of stainless steel and there is a tunnel that is made of plastic. In that train you can see a lot of fish and you can travel around the world. It's very fast; it is as fast as the AVE but under water. It has a buffet, some bedrooms and bathrooms. Also, it has some little submarines to use them whenever you want and there is a room where you can play videogames and it is a disco too. I decided to make it because I like travelling by train and I like diving, so I created this. It is free and there is a canteen too and a lot of shops. You can buy this transport in our cars' shop.
