HOBBIES!!

As you all know, a hobby is an activity that is carried out mainly for relaxation or pleasure, usually in free time outside one's regular occupation. In many cases, hobbies can lead to acquire skill, knowledge and experience in that area.  Examples of hobbies include cooking, collecting (for example, stamps), writing, sports, drawing, model-making, bird watching  and many more.

During the last weeks, 6^th of primary students showed their interests or hobbies in the English class. Some of their hobbies were cooking,  diving,  juggling, building doll houses, camping, dancing, fast cars and even relaxing or  sleeping. It was a really funny experience and we learnt a lot! Here you have some examples, enjoy them!!:) 

TV shows such as BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT and the  X FACTOR are very popular in the UK, and similar talent shows are popular around the world. Members of the public perform an act for a panel of famous judges. Often the prize is a large sum of money or a recording contrat

2-When was he born? He was born on 24^th of March of 1991.

3-How old is he? He is 22 years old (but, when he was in the TV program, he was 20 years old).

4-What is his talent? His talent is doing freestyle football.

5-How has his life changed? His life changed because, before going to the TV program BRITAINS GOT TALENT he wasn’t very famous. But after that, he was so famous that he did some videos with very famous footballers like: CRISTIANO RONALDO, LEO MESSI, MARADONA, ROBINHO… And he uploaded them in internet.

6-When did he start to be interested in freestyle football? Why? He started to be interested in football when he was 15 years old, because he was in a football team. But then, he started to practice freestyle football, and now he is a professional freestyle footballer.

7-Does he pass to the final of the TV program BRITAINS GOT TALENT? Yes, he passes with 3 YES.

-His football team was one of the most important teams in his country.

2.-When was she born? She was born on 23^rd of July of 1995.

3-How old is she? She is 18 years old (but, when she was in the TV program she was 12 years).

4-What is her talent? Her talent is singing classical music.

5-How has her life changed? Her life has changed because, before going to the TV program BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT she was a little bit famous because she performed competitively in some places. But, after she went to that TV program, she became very famous; and she sings in some many important places.

6-Where and when does she practice? She practices in her bedroom, after school.

7-Does she pass to the final of the TV program BRITAINS GOT TALENT? Yes, she passes with 3 YES.

THE LUCKY CARROT

ONE DAY, A SUNNY DAY, JUANCHO THE CARROT, WAS PLANTED IN A VEGETABLE PATCH WITH HIS OTHER CARROT FRIENDS. THE FARMER WAS SO HAPPY BECAUSE HE WON A TICKET TO DO A TRIP TO LOS ANGELES. LATER ON, THE FARMER WENT TO SEE THE CARROTS TO CHECK IF THEY WERE GOOD. BUT SUDDENLY… THE FARMER’S TICKET FELL DOWN. ALL THE CARROTS TRIED TO TAKE THE TICKET BUT JUANCHO JUMPED HIGHER. HE TOOK THE TICKET. QUICKLY HE WENT TO HIS HOUSE AND HE TOLD TO HIS WIFE THAT THEY WERE GOING TO LOS ANGELES NEXT WEEK. HIS WIFE STARTED TO LAUGH MADLY. HE TOLD HER THAT IT WAS TRUE AND SHE STARTED TO CRY HAPPYLY. THEY WERE SO EXCITED AND INMEDIATELY THEY PACKED THE SUITCASES. 

WHEN THEY WERE GOING TO THE AIRPORT JUANETA (JUANCHO’S WIFE) THOUGHT -.HOW ARE WE GOING TO FLY IN A NORMAL PLANE?

-.DON’T WORRY, I WILL CALL PEPE BRECOL. PEPE BRECOL WAS A FLYINGPOTATO DRIVER. PEPE BRECOL MADE THEM A BIG DISCOUNT. WHEN THEY WERE IN THE FLYINGPOTATO THEY SAW SPINACH.I.AM. JUANCHO WAS SO EXCITED BECAUSE HE SAW ONE OF HIS FAUVORITE SINGERS. THEN, WHEN THEY ARRIVED TO LOS ANGELES IT WAS AN OFFER IN A LOS ANGELES TRAIN. IN THE TRAIN WAS WATERMELON GASOL, KOBE TOMATO… 

WHEN THEY RETURNED TO THE VEGETABLE PATCH NO ONE BELIEVED HIM.

A BIG SURPRISE

20 YEARS AGO, A GROUP OF GRANDPARENTS WERE GOING TO NEW YORK IN A SMALL CAR. THEY WERE 100KM FAR FROM THERE WHEN SUDDENLY A GIANT GOLD GOLFBALL FELL OFF THE SKY. THE DRIVER GOT SURPRISED AND THE CAR FELL OFF THE BRIDGE WHERE THE ROAD WAS. UNDER THE BRIDGE WAS A RIVER WHERE THERE WERE A LOT OF SHARKS, CROCODILES, PIRANHAS… WHEN THEY WERE IN THE RIVER, THE OLDEST GRANFATHER GOT UNDRESSED AND HE WAS SUPER GRANDAD!!!! SUPER GRANDAD TOOK THE CAR AND HE FLEW BACK TO THE ROAD. THEY FELT LIKE HOW???? FINALLY THE GRANDPARENTS WENT NORMALLY TO NEW YORK.

My purposes for school.

1. I want to get better marks this year and for that:
   a) I will pay more attention to the teacher.
   b) I will study more at home.
   c) I will ask my parents to buy me a new laptop.

2. Some times, when I am studying I have some questions, how can I solve them?
      a) In class, asking the teacher.
      b) In the study room with my friends.
      c) At home, consulting books or internet.


3. To pay more attention in class what I will do is:
    a) Get up earlier to be in class and stay awake.
    b) Review the school books before going to bed to see what it's all about.
   c) The two things.

4. I am going to organize my desk and for this:
     a) I will choose a good place and have it properly.
     b) Don’t study in the living room with the TV on.
     c) One day a week to meet with my friends to study in the library.


5. I want to organize myself well and my study time too; for this, I’m going to:
   a) Choose always the same place and time to study.
   b) Be with the same friends to study.
   c) Follow the same plan of study of the last year.

6. About going out for a walk:
   a) If I need time for me I go for a walk.
   b) I can’t go for a walk; I am so busy.

7. Are you going to continue with the sport?
    a) Of course, if it helps me take care of my body.
    b) I don’t practice any sport but I will start one.
    c) I'm not sure.

8. Do you think the sport will take away time?
   a) No because it is good for me.
   b) No because they say it is good.
   c) Yes because I need time to study.
